This is new! Build 15 (coming this week) of Red One camera’s firmware will allow 120 frames per second (previously I think we were only expecting it to be able to do 72 fps). So this makes all sorts of nature photography and cool television commercials (a la ice falling into a glass, above). Check out this sample video Jarred Land posted on reduser.net (this video, shot at 120 fps plays back at only 15fps in a web res video; Jarred’s promised to post a full 2k 24fps version soon, so keep checking back at reduser.net).
