As a Canadian, I was offended by these blocking attempts for foreign countries. They just haven't caught up to the digital world of 2008 yet, have they! It's a better alternative than having to hunt for older shows on veoh and such with the fear that they could be gone the next day. You can watch all you want, the quality is superb and there's little lag. The commercials are harmless considering you're not paying twenty bucks to watch a season of a show. It's still in beta, so i'm not surprised that it hasn't expanded abroad.
