Actor Richard Widmark passed away last week, at 93 years old. He was a archetypal noir tough (and occassionally psycho) guy on screen, and a nice guy in real life. Widmark, had a house in Roxbury, Connecticut, the small (population 900) town where I grew up . I mowed his lawn twice and saw him a handful of times in the Roxbury Market, when I was a kid.
